Young People at Christ Church
Children & Young People
Children & Young People are the life blood and the future of any church.
Children and young people are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of life at Christ Church. We have a group of junior servers who help at the 10.00 am service. We welcome children into our choir which sings once a month at the 10.00 am service. Children meet to practise at 6.30 pm on Friday evenings for half an hour. Children are welcome to receive Holy Communion at Christ Church, and groups for children aged 6+ are run each year to prepare them for this. Young people join confirmation discussion groups once they are 13+.
Toddler Church – Age up to 3 years
Please help yourself at any time during the service to the toys, books, puzzles, paper & pens in The Truman Room or at the round table at the back of church.
Junior Church – Aged 4 years up to school year 3
Stepping Up Church
School years 4 to 7
These groups take place in the church hall during the 10 o'clock Sunday service. The young people and children will be called to the front of church before the first reading and return in time for communion. We use material from Roots which follows the same readings as the main church service. We have fun and learn through stories, games, craft, cooking & prayer with more discussion for the older group.
Meeting one Friday per month at 7.30pm usually in the hall. KFH tend to do social activities such as cinema, bowling, Dinosaur golf, indoor games, discussions and Hamster Chef - the cooking competition. If you have a daughter or son who is interested, please email email@example.com.
